Nardine Ghobrial is a biomedical engineer received her BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Bioengineering from Clemson University. Dr. Ghobrial has extensive experience with medical device R&D and in being a part of multidisciplinary teams in academic, government, and industry settings. Since 2022, she has been developing aspecs of diagnostic medical devices in startup environments.
Gil Blankenship is the Founder and Chairman of the board of MDC Studio. In 2022, Dr. Blankenship retired as Professor of Electrical Engineering at Univeristy of Maryland, College Park. Dr. Blankenship has founded several high technology companies and has been named International Buisness Leader of the year in 2008 by the Tech Council of Maryland. He has received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from MIT Cambridge MA. Dr. Blankenship is also a Life Fellow of the IEEE.
Jonathan Pearl is a Partner and Medical Advisor to MDC Studio. In addition to his responsibilities at MDC and portfolio companies, such as Digital Biosciences, Dr. Pearl is an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of General and Oncologic Surgery at the Univeristy of Maryland School of Medicine, where he is Chief, Section of Advanced GI and Minimally Invasive Surgery. He is also the Chief of General Surgery at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. He is a nationally recognized expert in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and Surgical Endoscopy.
